Born of the Void: From the combined memories, experiences, and emotions of a devoured port city, its surrounding ocean, and millions of years of preserved knowledge, Bel’Veth, the Empress of the Void, makes her way to Runeterra with a hunger for destruction. Like a raging Lavender Sea, Bel’Veth is said to lash out from the heart of the Void forcing all before her to submit to her wants.
Unavoidable Destruction: With a kit like this one, it’ll be tough for her enemies to avoid her to say the least. After using an ability, Bel’Veth’s passive “Death in Lavender” causes her next two attacks to have increased attack speed. If she takes down a large monster or champion, she also gains permanent bonus attack speed in the form of “Lavender” stacks. Diving into her Q “Void Surge”, Bel’Veth gains the ability to dash in each of the four cardinal directions, dealing damage and applying on-hit effects to all of the enemies she passes through. Bel’Veth’s W ability “Above and Below” sees her slam her tail down, knocking up and slowing enemies caught in the splash. Successfully hitting an enemy champion also reduces Void Surge’s cooldown in the direction of the champion that was hit. With her E ability “Royal Maelstrom”, Bel’Veth channels a storm of slashes around her, gaining damage reduction and increased life steal in addition to dealing scaling damage based on missing health. A champion’s kit isn’t complete without an ultimate though…
Time to Feast: The Empress’s ultimate ability “Endless Banquet” has a lot of pieces to it from dealing infinitely stacking true damage to gathering “void coral”, summoning “voidlings”, true form transformations and more. You can read the full description of Bel’Veth’s ultimate, as well as see her other abilities in action here.
Last, but not least Riot Games put out a stellar cinematic trailer to welcome champion #160 to the League of Legends. It can be viewed here.
