Gamers rejoice! Discord just keeps getting better for gamers and communities. And for Xbox fans, it’s taking a huge step forward. Very soon, you will be able to stream your gameplay live to Discord. It’s a widely requested feature that most figured would come eventually, but that doesn’t dull the excitement at all.

The feature is rolling out to folks in the Alpha test rings first and should hit all consoles in the coming months. Gamers will be able to stream to any of their friends, in a group message, or even to an entire server if they want. It should make gaming with your friends easier and open up the chance for more server interactions. Ever get stuck on a difficult puzzle? Soon you’ll be able to easily ask your buddy for help via a quick screen share as well.

It seems like a small addition to the functionality when you consider everything that is available on the Discord mobile and PC clients, but the Discord app on Xbox getting more features is a good thing for all gamers. Discord has a massive audience that uses its services across different platforms and applications. Any lessons it learns here and now will only improve its services and likely allow them to spread to other platforms. So organize those Discord Server Stream events and have a good time!
