Attention, Pokémon Trainers! The Pokémon Company hosted a Pokémon Presents last week and released some news into the wild. You can catch ‘em all right here, so keep on reading. There was something for everyone in the 34-minute presentation, so whether you are looking for news related to anime, the trading card game, mobile gaming, or console gaming, there was something for you this past week to get excited about. Let’s check out some highlights.
First and foremost, the biggest news out of the entire event was an update on the Scarlet/Violet DLC: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. The DLC is a two part adventure with Part 1: The Teal Mask releasing first and Part 2: The Indigo Disk releasing sometime after. Trainers now have the initial release date for Part 1. You can catch it for yourself on September 13, 2023! The DLC will add some exciting new Pokémon and bring more previously released Pokémon to the game. Also coming to Scarlet/Violet is a special Mew/Mewtwo event. You can enter the code GETY0URMEW to get a free Mew with a random Tera type via Mystery Gift and then train it up to help catch Mewtwo in an upcoming Tera Raid event, so get to work.
In other games news, Detective Pikachu is back! The gruff talking sleuth has a new adventure coming to Switch appropriately named Detective Pikachu Returns and it will be available on October 6, 2023. If you have Nintendo Switch Online, two new games are available to play. The classic GameBoy title Pokémon Trading Card Game is out now and if you have the Expansion Pass, then Pokémon Stadium 2 is available in the N64 player!
If you’re looking for anime and animated content, there were some fun reveals. A new trailer was shown for Pokémon Horizons: The Series. Still no release date, but they did say it was coming soon, so just keep listening. A cool new web series set in the Paldea region was revealed as well, dubbed Pokémon: Paldean Winds. It premieres September 6, 2023 on YouTube. Finally, a new trading card game focused series was revealed. The series, titled Pokémon: Path to the Peak, follows young trainer Ava as she dives into the world of the Pokémon card game at a new school and works to rise to the top. The first episode is available now.
