As Initiators usually do, VALORANT’s newest agent, Fade, is bursting her way onto the scene this week alongside a new battle pass and a number of other changes in Episode 4: Act 3.
Backstory: Fade joins the roster as agent #19. Hailing from Turkey, she previously worked as a bounty hunter revealing her targets deepest fears before annihilating them in darkness. From the sound of things, a good Fade player can be a nightmare to go up against…literally. According to VALORANT’s official website, its newest initiator “unleashes the power of raw nightmares” as she hunts her targets. Let’s take a look at her kit.
Abilities: Fade’s Q ability is ‘Seize’. Seize equips an orb of nightmare ink that when thrown will explode, creating a zone in which enemies become anchored and can no longer escape by normal means. Sticking with the nightmare theme, Fade’s E ability ‘Haunt’ also begins as an orb shape that when thrown erupts into a nightmarish entity that reveals the location of enemies caught in its line of sight. Fade’s C ability ‘Prowler’ is sent out in a straight line allowing it to lock on to enemy trails (in its frontal vision cone), causing enemies to be nearsighted if it reaches them. Last, but not least, Fade’s ultimate ability ‘Nightfall’ sends out a wave of nightmare energy that can move through walls. If struck, the energy creates a trail to the enemies, while also deafening and decaying them. Deadly.
