The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, sequel to smash hit Breath of the Wild, is finally coming to fans in May. Players and fans are starving for any and all information they can get on what to expect from the game. Amazon Japan has recognized that hunger and is aiming to help those fans out. No, it’s not a sneak peek or new information on the game. It’s a Legend of Zelda-branded spoon and fork!

You read that right. Gamers who pre-order the Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition from Amazon Japan will receive a spoon and fork with the Legend of Zelda logo on it. Folks who pre-order the standard edition will receive just the spoon. If you are here in America and you are famished for that flatware, fear not. You can order it from Japan and simply import it to the US. It’s certainly a unique and interesting bonus, but the quality looks nice and it’s something folks can actually use.

There have been a myriad of pre-order bonuses for games that range from nifty to whatever to useless. It’s normal to receive a poster or perhaps a small plastic figure of a character in the game. Some include a mouse pad or stickers. A spoon and a fork definitely stand out as a solid combination of interesting and useful. Though a knife to complete the set would be nice. The other pre-order bonus that US fans of the series can get is a wooden plaque from GameStop. It’s a little unclear how big the plaque is but maybe it could serve as a plate or a cutting board to go with that spoon and fork. The UK Nintendo store version comes with a luggage tag and a collectible coin.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases on May 12th with some big expectations. Fans will certainly launch into the game with a big appetite for new content and hopefully the game is prepared to serve it up quickly. You can pre-order the game yourself at your favorite retailer. The standard edition starts at $70 with the collector’s edition going for $129 if you can find it.
