The 41st annual Golden Joystick Awards took place in London this past week, with a record amount of votes being tallied across the 20+ categories. Standing atop the heap was Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3, pulling in a record-breaking 7 awards (including Larian’s ‘Studio of the Year’ award). There was a steep dropoff after BG3’s run, with Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Final Fantasy XVI taking home the next most awards at 2 apiece.
So which awards did Baldur’s Gate 3 take home…Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Best Game Community, Best Supporting Performer (Neil Newbon, Astarion), PC Game of the Year, Ultimate Game of the Year, and Larian’s Studio of the Year award. Quite the collection to say the least!
While all of the award winners are worth praising for their respective wins, the other big award winner of the night was Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake II, taking home the coveted Critics’ Choice Award. Interested to see who the other winners were? Find the full list of results here.
