during the Barclays Premier League match between Leicester City and Manchester City at The King Power Stadium on December 29, 2015 in Leicester, England.

Leicester City played a riveting match with Manchester City last night. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, but both teams played extremely well. Jamie Vardy for Leisceter and Kun Aguero for Man City wreaked havoc on both defensive back lines. The two strikers are among the more prolific in the league this season. Aguero has been top-class for some time now, having proven himself in the Premier League. Vardy has come on hot this season, scoring 15 goals for the Foxes this season. He even set a record by scoring in 11 straight games earlier in the year.

The story of this game, though, was the goalkeepers. Joe Hart for Manchester City and Kasper Schmeichel for Leicester both had phenomenal games. Both sides had plenty of chances to take the lead, but the goalkeepers ensured the game remained clean.

Arsenal beat Bournemouth to draw level with Leicester at the top of the table with 39 points. The Gunners rebounded from a 4-0 flop at Southampton only two days previous.

New starter Gabriel started the scoring in the 28′ with an uncontested header delivered by Mesut Ozil. Later in the 63′, Ozil linked with Oliver Girouid to score as well. Arsenal have been the perfect example of excellent, team football and inconsistent, lackluster football in the same season. This game showed what they can do when all cylinders are firing.

Bournemouth played admirably despite the 2-0 defeat. They also beat Manchester United and Chelsea recently, as well as drew against Everton and Crystal Palace. For a team that wasn’t even in the Premier League last year, they have shown signs that they might belong beyond this season. Time will tell.
