The NBA2K League (NBA2KL) announced Thursday that the 2023 season will be hosted in Washington D.C.
In partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment (parent company of NBA2K League team Wizards District Gaming) the NBA2KL will host the upcoming season at the soon-to-open District E Powered by Ticketmaster live-event theater located next to Capital One Arena. In addition to announcing the location, the NBA2KL released the dates for the upcoming season as well. Starting on Wednesday, March 8 and running though Saturday, August 5, the league will bring back the 3v3 Black Top Series tournaments in addition to THE BANNER CHAIN SERIES, and playoff series for 3v3 and 5v5.
New this year, the 3v3 and 5v5 portions of the season will be split into two halves with The 3v3 portion of the season beginning with the Coinbase NBA2KL 3v3 SLAM OPEN on March 8 and wrapping up with the 3v3 Finals on May 13. The 5v5 competition will start on May 23 with THE TIPOFF Powered by AT&T and will wrap up with the NBA2KL 5v5 Finals on August 5.
