Makoto Shinkai’s Kimi no Na wa or Your Name is currently the highest grossing anime film of all time. When it was released in 2016, it was an immediate hit and has been one of the newest gateway animes for getting into the medium. With a captivating love story, a gorgeous look, perfectly tuned soundtrack by Radwimps, and superb voicing acting from both the Japanese and English dubbed, it’s very easy to see why the movie was as successful as it was. Richard is joined by his good friends, Collin and Diana Skeen to dive into Your Name’s success and how the movie resonated with them personally.
