Well, it looks like Xbox and Microsoft can add a new award to their trophy case. The six-part documentary series was nominated for two Daytime Emmy awards, Outstanding Single Camera Editing and Outstanding Arts and Popular Culture Program, securing the win for Outstanding Single Camera Editing. It’s just the latest in a series of accolades and awards for the film series that documents the history of Xbox dating back twenty years to the launch of the first Xbox console all the way to today.
Produced by ten100, Power On was released in December of 2021 as part of the festivities for the 20th anniversary of the original Xbox console launch. Aside from the Daytime Emmy win, the series is also the winner of the People’s Voice Webby Award for Documentary and sixteen Telly Awards.
