Xbox’s latest games showcase was their new “Partner Preview” format, hosted this past Wednesday and packed with nearly 30 minutes of trailers and gameplay footage. A host of third-party developers from Remedy Entertainment to Studio Wildcard showed up on stream to tease their latest innovations and upcoming titles. With a grand total of 11 games shown, it felt like there was something for almost every type of gamer in this one, let’s take a look at some of the highlights:

Horror game fans were treated with a new launch trailer for Remedy’s Alan Wake 2, coupled with some brand-new gameplay of one of the main characters Saga facing off against a fearsome new enemy. The thrill didn’t stop there though, as the showcase also included a new look at gameplay from The Chinese Room’s upcoming narrative horror game, Still Wakes The Deep. If being stranded on an oil rig with creepy supernatural foes is your thing, then this one is right up your alley…or well out in your sea.

Moving from thrillers to other games that thrilled the audience, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater was revealed with an in-engine (UE5) look featuring incredibly detailed environments filled with thick vegetation and predatory animals alike. Sticking with the theme of dense vegetation, Studio Wildcard took the virtual stage to show off Ark: Survival Ascended, set to include cross-platform modding, incredibly realistic looking environments, fearsome dinosaurs, and more in Unreal Engine 5 as well.

The wackiest trailer of the evening went to Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s new, exclusive look at Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which saw the player putting Kasuga to work on Dondoko Island in some obscure combination of Animal Crossing meets The Sims meets Yakuza. It looks like a wild one to say the least. To read more about the rest of the games shown, click here.
