Riot Games announced they are delaying two upcoming League of Legends spinoff games. Originally scheduled to come out in 2022, Song of Nunu and Convergence are now prepared to come out sometime in 2023.

Song of Nunu and Convergence are just the two latest games in a long line that have been delayed this year. Announced in a tweet by Riot Forge, the studio states they need “a little more time to put on some finishing touches.” Riot Forge, which was announced in 2019, is Riot’s endeavor to work with outside studios in creating gaming content inside the League of Legends universe. Song of Nunu is being made by Spanish developer Tequila Works while Convergence is being developed by Canadian studio Double Stallion Games.

With the success of Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and the Netflix animated series Arcane, Riot is looking to continue the expansion of their wildly popular League of Legends universe adding in an upcoming fighting game, MMORPG, the highly anticipated second season of Arcane, and eventually these newly delayed games as well.
