When Skate 4 was announced last June, fans of the franchise rejoiced as the beloved title was set to receive its fourth installment; it’s first in over ten years. Skate fans have been waiting patiently for any updates from Electronic Arts, but with Full Circle, the studio behind the game, only coming into existence at the start of 2021, fans of the franchise knew that it would be awhile before any gameplay footage saw the light of day. It was announced that there wouldn’t be any news on Skate during this Thursday’s EA Play Live, but “a little something” was teased to come out on Monday, July 19th.
That “little something” was a video from the original creators of Skate, Deran Chung and Cuz Parry, who are both currently with Full Circle developing the new title, updating fans on the progress of the game. In addition to clips of the motion capture sessions, the update featured pro skateboarders, YouTubers, and developers watching and reacting to what many are speculating to be in-game footage.
While there is no release date (nor should anyone expect one for a while), fans are happy to hear about the progress of the beloved title and are patiently awaiting the next update.
