It’s happening! The PlayStation classic, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, is coming to PC. The announcement came in June that PC gamers would get the chance to play the remastered version of Spider-Man this year with several added benefits, which are described as “additional standard PC-specific features such as adjustable render settings and ray-traced reflections,” with more benefits coming at a later date.

The biggest upgrade to the remastered PC version is the new, high quality mode for ray-traced reflections to help provide even more detail in the in-game city. In addition to high quality graphics, the game will support adaptive trigger feedback and haptic response through PlayStation’s DualSense controller. It will allow for fully customizable mouse and keyboard controls as well.

One of the biggest concerns was over how powerful of a computer budget PC gamers would need to run Spider-Man. The good news is that the minimum requirements are fairly accessible for the budget-conscious gamer including the GTX 950, i3 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a generous 75GB of space needed to download the game. For high-end PC gamers to achieve the Ultimate Ray Tracing settings, you will need at least a RTX 3080, 12th gen i7, and 32GB of RAM.

Pre-orders for Spider-Man Remastered are now live and include the “City Never Sleeps” DLC, three Spidey suits, 5 skill points, and the Spider-Drone gadget. Spider-Man Remastered is set to release August 12, 2022.
