In a blog post earlier this week, Bloober Team revealed that hit psychological horror game The Medium is being developed into a TV series in partnership with Platige Image. Bloober Team President Piotr Babieno had this to say: “Both the film industry and the video game industry are close to my heart, and I am very happy that there is finally an opportunity to bring them both together. The story we told in the game was appreciated by players, and now more people will be able to hear about it.”

Babieno will oversee the show along with Tomasz Bagiński, who was an executive producer on Netflix’s The Witcher series. Shows like The Witcher, Arcane, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners have all demonstrated how a good video game story can be adapted to a TV show to much success. Players and viewers have shown how a good story is enjoyable in any format. The Medium was well-loved for its gripping story and world.

The Medium is a psychological horror game that spans into the world of spirits and the dead. The story is told through flashbacks and slow reveals. In many ways, the game plays a lot like a TV show or movie. In this way, the adaptation just makes sense. If you haven’t given The Medium a shot yet, it’s well worth the time.

As of now, there are no other details available to be shared. Things like casting, timeline, and platform will be revealed at a later date. It seems likely that a service lIke Netflix will get involved, but anything can happen at this point. While you’re waiting on more news, go check out Arcane and Cyberpunk: Ederunners on Netflix. I promise you won’t regret it.
